The cost of drilling a borehole in Zimbabwe varies, depending on a number of factors. These include the distance of the village from the city of Bulawayo, the depth at which we strike water (which can be anything from 25m to 65m), and the financial situation in the country at the time. To complete a drilling project from start to finish costs between £9,000 and £11,000.
Every penny of this is fundraised here at home. And every penny goes towards providing water or education to some of the most marginalised people in the world.
